The First Presbyterian Church of Howard County

Between the urban centers of Baltimore and Washington DC, the church is a thriving place where all the people of God welcome each other to worship, to serve, to grow, and to experience the joy of God’s love in Jesus Christ.

Explore the site, then come and see for yourself how welcome you will be!

Cold Weather Shelter update
Update, Monday, February 8th
THE COLD WEATHER SHELTER is back to its regular schedule! Special thanks to Woody Collins and Kathy Robie-Suh who hunkered down for the storm weekend; Margot Watson, Emily and Christopher who braved the storm to deliver Friday night's dinner; Ben Wade and Jeff Goering who managed to make it in for their scheduled shifts on Friday and Saturday; Sally Marsh for Sunday dinner; Toni Jaskoski for making it in to pack lunches and clean; Eileen and Jeff Sturgill for delivering Super Bowl snack bags; and Rod Summerford and Margot Watson for the Sunday night overnight.

We still have several openings for evening and overnight hosting and some gaps because of the inability of folks to get out of their neighborhoods. If you can volunteer for anything, please contact Melanie Winyall.
