Adults
Nurturing, educating, and equipping
Education opportunities aim to nurture adults in their faith journeys
and equip them to follow Christ’s example in their own lives. Offerings are announced by email and in the Sunday bulletin.
Sunday Mornings
Education Hour has some great offerings for adults to grow, stretch, deepen and ground their faith and practice. Adults of every age and stage are welcome, young adults to senior citizens. Some courses are three or four weeks and some last for several months. We try to address these broad themes: Bible Study, Big Questions, Equipping the Saints, Life and Nurture, Mission, Spirituality, and The Twenty-First Century.
Classes begin promptly at 9:30 a.m., so come and grab your coffee or tea at the Wake-Up Station, and join a conversation! Classes conclude by 10:25 a.m., so that if you attend the 10:30 a.m. service, you have enough time to gather for worship.
Other Educational Opportunities for Adults
Wednesday Bible Study
Adults meet to discuss various biblical topics on Wednesdays. One group meets in-person in the morning and the other on Zoom in the evening.
The Big Read
Participants read the same book and gather for informal conversations.
Quiet Days
A quiet, meditative time in the church, usually coinciding with Advent and/or Lent. A labyrinth and prayer stations are set up in the Sanctuary, inviting you to spend quiet time as you are able in prayer and worship with God.
