On Sunday, Jan 12th, First Pres is sending out a team of 12 people on a mission trip to Guatemala to install stoves. For 5 of the 12 participants, this will a first time adventure. On Wednesday, Jan 8th, the 36 stoves to be installed were delivered to the selected recipients, a very joyous day indeed! Some photos of the event are shown below. To date we have installed 236 stoves, and with the generous support of this congregation and friends, we have raised enough money for 72 more. Together with our partners in the Union Maya Quiché Boca Costa Presbytery, we are improving the quality of life and the health of women and families in our partner Presbytery by giving them a safer, healthier way to cook.
