Mitten Tree … PLUS!
October 4th – November 1st
The Mitten Tree Has Been Reimagined!
This fall, the Deacons are giving the Mitten Tree new life by shifting the collection earlier in the season and focusing on the specific needs of students at Running Brook and Bryant Woods Elementary Schools.
How You Can Help Our Neighbors
Share the warmth. Donate NEW gloves, mittens, scarves, and hats. These will be delivered in early November—right when morning and nighttime temperatures begin dipping into the mid‑30s and a little extra warmth makes a big difference.
Support comfort and dignity. Donate NEW socks and underwear, along with new or gently worn sweatpants and leggings (sizes 4T through Adult Small). These essentials help kids stay comfortable on days when rainy walks to school or playground mishaps leave them needing a quick change.
When to Give
Look for the Mitten Tree … PLUS! beginning Sunday, October 4, and help decorate it with your contributions through Sunday, November 1.
Thank you for lightening the load for families in our community and sharing compassion in such a tangible way.
