Please come join us to learn about this on-going project with our partners in the Union Maya Quiché Boca Costa Presbytery. The evening event comes with dinner, drinks, snacks, and games.

First Presbyterian has had a partnership with the Union Maya Quiché Boca Costa Presbytery for over 20 years. The stove project began in 2016.  Since its inception we have installed 236 stoves.

These vented stoves replace open fires in each recipient’s home providing improved eye and respiratory health benefits, a safer environment, and a 65% reduction in the amount of firewood required.

These stoves can be life changing to the recipients.  The cost of a stove is $190 each and are produced locally in Guatemala providing jobs and economic development.
