Results of 5K Family Run For Coffee

Thank you!

On behalf of La Presbiterio Union Maya Quiché Boca Costa, the First Pres partner presbytery in Guatemala, thank you to everyone who contributed in any way to the 12th Annual Run for Coffee on Saturday, May 15, 2021. The event raised over $9,950 for microgrants to be given to members of eight churches in the Boca Costa presbytery in the spring of 2022. Under the direction of the presbytery’s Executive Committee, the Sessions of each of the presbytery’s eight rural churches will identify recipients to receive coffee plants, fertilizer, fungicide, and insecticide plus a small amount of cash to hire local people to help them clear their land and plant their coffee. To learn more about the “nuts and bolts” of the logistics of this project, check out the information on the church website.

If you haven’t turned in your donation yet, it’s not too late to send a check to the church or make a donation via PayPal. Please be sure to identify it as being a donation for the Run for Coffee. There are a few commemorative shirts still available in exchange for a donation to the project. If you’re interested, please send an email to
