Mission

The church’s ministries of compassion and outreach take many forms. Sometimes we respond right away to a flood or earthquake. Sometimes we get involved in relationships that last for years. Here are some of the significant projects, activities and relationships through which we share the compassion of Christ.

Guatemala Partnership
Our church has a mission partnership with a presbytery in Guatemala, the Presbiterio Union Maya Quiche Boca Costa.

Cold Weather Shelter
In February, we open the church building for two weeks to welcome those in need of shelter, food and a shower.

Disaster Relief and Mission Trips
Since Hurricanes Katrina and Rita, several FPCHC workgroups have traveled to Gautier and to Pearlington, MS to help rebuild. 

Local Mission
Local mission is one of our church’s passions, and we work with numerous partners to help those in need.

Global Mission
Global mission is also important to us, and we have relationships with missionaries and ministries around the world.
