	Giving to the Work of Christ Through the Church Offerings to the Church are used to carry out the mission and ministry of Christ in the world. Every offering is an expression of gratitude to God, an act of worship, and a step on the path of discipleship by which we strive to answer Christ's call. The time-honored way of bringing our offerings to God is during worship in the sanctuary. As we learn new, convenient ways of handling our money in the electronic era, we are also learning new ways of giving. But the reason for our offering is always the same: gratitude, praise, discipleship and service. We trust the ways to give described on this page will be helpful as you practice the joy of disciplined, thoughtful, and worshipful offerings.

This link will take you to a "virtual check" or "webcheck" on a secure website. Fill in your information and follow the instructions. The transaction appears on your statement as an electronic payment to The First Presbyterian Church of Howard County.

To designate your contribution for a certain purpose, such as a pledge, special offering or capital campaign, fill in the "Memo" field on the webcheck to notify the Church of your wishes.

To make your gift recurring, check the "Recurring Gift" box on the webcheck and fill out the related details. For a one-time offering, leave it unchecked.

	Worship

You can always make an offering to the work of God through the Church by placing your offering in the offering plate in worship.

Pew envelopes can be used to designate your intent or to contribute cash.

Checks should be made payable to First Presbyterian Church of Howard County or to First Presbyterian Church. To designate your offering for a particular purpose, such as a pledge, special offering, or the capital campaign, write your intent on the memo field or on an envelope.

Offering Dedication Cards are in the pew racks for those who give online or by mail. You may place one of these in the offering plate to participate in this important activity of worship -- dedicating our offerings to God.
